This piece is a metaphor in which I am both meat handler and piece of meat, commenting on my participation in and passive allowance of self-destructive sexual activity. Punching my way through a chicken, I’m reflecting on my sexual history, where I treated myself as a piece of meat being sexually consumed, and the damaging effects it had on me. By actively breaking the chicken, I am highlighting my participation and my choice in engaging in these actions. The meat as an object assumes the passive role, as unchoosing participant. A large part of this piece is the idea of repetition, which is why I chose to have it exist on PornHub; the cyclical nature in which this site is used to consume sexual imagery referencing my repeated engagements.
